Key Performance Areas
Render Dental Therapy services that comply with standards and Norms in the hospital and community setting. Candidate will be expected to render Dental Therapy service in adherence to the scope of practice and health protocols Prepare sterile packs of Dentist Sterilization of equipment Unpacking of equipment
Prerequisites
A National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / Matric plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Dental Assistant. Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa [HPCSA] as Dental Assistant.
Person Profile
Candidate should have a sound knowledge of general Dental Therapy principles.
Candidates should have a sound knowledge and application of clinical theory, practice and ethics relating to the delivery of Dental Therapy services.
Adhere to provincial, hospital and departmental policies, procedures and regulations.
Knowledge of public service legislation, PFMA, policies and procedure. Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary context.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, strategic planning, organizational skills, leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
