Prerequisites
Basic R425 Qualification (Diploma or Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. (R337 359.00 ) Grade 1: none appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. (R411 978.00) Grade 2: a minimum of 10 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC as General Nurse. (R495 423.00) Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ experience appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. South African Citizen or permanent resident. Willingness to do after hours work and be on call including shift work.
Person Profile
Knowledge of nursing care processes, procedures and legal frameworks. Good clinical skills. Ability to work under pressure and apply stringent infection control principles. Good communication skills.
