Key Performance Areas
- Conduct action research and analyse data in order to inform decision making and improvement of classroom practices for Social Sciences.
- Developing curriculum intervention documents and assessment to support policy implementation for Social sciences offered in the District.
- Monitoring, evaluating and coordinating implementation of strategies and provide support and advice to Districts, circuits and schools including other relevant sections within the education system.
- Set intervention common assessment tasks for when required. Organize and coordinate learner attainment programs.
- Participate in Teacher development programs.
- Develop curriculum framework and supplement education materials in line with the Social Sciences and prescribed National policies.
- Establish, maintain and support curriculum structures at Districts and Circuits.
- Engage and interact with all stakeholders to ensure policy compliance and enhance learner performance
Prerequisites
- A recognised three- or four-year qualification with History or Geography (or both) as a major subject/s which includes professional teacher education.
- Valid registration with SACE as professional educator.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the educational field.
- Valid driver’s licence with exception of person with disabilities

- Sound knowledge of all major relevant education legislative and policies particularly those having a direct impact on Sepedi language.
- Sound knowledge, understanding and experience of CAPS and NCS in the INTERSEN phase and other related legislative framework including curriculum transformation.
