CHIEF REGISTRY CLERK: PERSONNEL RECORD (DSD)
Key Performance Areas
Supervise and provide personnel registry counter services. Supervise the handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Supervise and render an effective filing and record management service. Supervise the operation and operate office machines in relation to the personnel registry function. Supervise the processing of documents for archiving and/disposal. Supervise human resources/staff.
Prerequisites
An appropriate recognized NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent qualifications as recognised by SAQA. Qualifications/Certificate in Records and Archives will be an added advantage. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Personnel Records/Registry. Valid motor vehicle driver’s licence. (with the exception of persons with disabilities).
Person Profile
Knowledge of registry duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, and operate computer. Working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service. Knowledge of storage, retrieval, archival and disposal procedures in terms of the Legislative Framework governing records. Knowledge of the Best Practice Model on personnel records.
