ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: OPERATING LICENSING ADMINISTRATION (TCS)
Key Performance Areas
- Monitor the registration and licensing of public transport and transport operators
- Monitor the resolution of transport operator conflicts
- Ensure transport operator safety and compliance
- Coordinate provincial regulatory entity hearings
Prerequisites
- A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification
(NQF 6) in Transport Management/ Transport Economics/ Logistics or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority SAQA).
- 3 years’ experience at supervisory level in the same or related field.
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Except for people with disabilities).
Person Profile
Knowledge of National Land Transport Act, 5 of 2009 and its regulations, Knowledge of all Public Transport products and programs, Public Transport history and current situation in SA, Financial Management & PFMA, Supply Chain Management, Labour Relation Act, Sound and in-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service i.e. Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Negotiation Skills, People Management, Financial Solving, Planning & Organizing, Time Management, Strategic Planning, Policy Analysis and Development, Good Communication Skills, Group dynamics, Diversity Management-ordination Skills, Leadership Skills.
