ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: EVENTS MANAGEMENT (TCS)
Key Performance Areas
- Coordinate departmental calendar of events
- Develop and implement events management plan for all the events
- Coordinate events management workshops
- Coordinate standard departmental guest list
- Supervise subordinate in accordance with relevant directives and legislation
Prerequisites
- A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Event Management or an
equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority SAQA
- 3 - 5 years’ experience at supervisory level in the same or related field
- Valid Driver’s License (Except for people with disabilities).
Person Profile
Knowledge of Health and Safety laws- Every event should comply with the health and safety laws to minimize risks to attendees, Permits and Licenses- To hold an event and comply with recommendations, Insurances- All the events require public liability insurance for outside and mass events, Contracts and Agreements-To outline responsibilities and liabilities, PFMA ,People Management skills, Communication and interpersonal skills, Excellent organizational skills, Time management, Problem Solving, Attention to detail, Facilitation, Monitoring and evaluation, Presentation, Negotiating skill, Creativity skill, Adaptability skill, Stress management ,Conflict resolution, People Management skills, Communication and interpersonal skills, Excellent organizational skills, Time management, Problem Solving, Attention to detail, Facilitation, Monitoring and evaluation, Presentation, Negotiating skill, Creativity skill, Adaptability skill, Stress management, Conflict resolution
